 The parable of The Lost Sheep is a Heavenly Parable.

 The parable demonstrates the mystery of God’s agape love to
mankind.

 The sheep in this context represents mankind.

 The lost sheep represents a sinner that has gone astray from
God’s presence.

 The ninety-nine sheep in this context represents the
self-righteous who need no repentance.

 The Shepherd in this context represents Jesus Christ who is
the Shepherd and Bishop of our souls.

 There is a great and abundant rejoicing in heaven when a
soul is won into God’s kingdom.

 The parable portrays the fact that God’s infinite mercy can
never cease nor fail.

 It also portrays the fact that God our Heavenly Father never
wish any of His children to perish.
