DAY 18 SUNDAY: JULY 2021

ANCHOR YOUR HOPE IN GOD’S FAITH!

Who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, “so shall your descendants be” (Romans 4:18).

A Christian is expected to anchor his hope in God’s faith because it is faith that sustains his hope in life. When your hope in life is not anchored in faith; therefore, your hope in life is dead. The Bible says in the opening text that who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, “So shall your descendants be.” Of course, every Christian should endeavor to take note of the fact that he needs to constantly anchor his hope in God’s faith daily in life. A Christian should learn to anchor his hope in God’s faith. It is absolute faith in God that sustains one’s hope in life. Hope that is not anchored in faith is absolutely dead and useless forever.

Abraham was able to succeed and obtain his promise even when it was contrary against hope because he anchored his hope in God’s faith for life. When you learn to anchor your hope in God’s faith, such hope can never die no matter the challenges of life. That is why the Bible defines faith in Hebrews 11:1, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Therefore, whenever a hope in life is devoid of God’s faith it becomes useless and ineffective in life. Take note of the fact that faith without works is absolutely dead and devoid of purpose in life forever.

Anyone who wants to succeed in life just like Abraham should learn to anchor his hope in God’s faith. Except you anchor your hope in God’s faith, you can never please Him in life. That is the reason why the Bible says in Hebrews 11:6, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” In fact, it is only hope that is anchored in faith that can indeed please God and bring diligent reward into the life of a Christian. Therefore, a Christian should learn to always anchor his hope in God’s faith. A life that is absolutely devoid of hope and faith in God’s Word is indeed worthless and meaningless in life forever.

Daily Tip: Every Christian is absolutely expected to anchor his hope in God’s faith in order to succeed and be victorious in life forever. Shalom!

Golden Text: He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God (Romans 4:20).
