A Christian should take note of the fact that he is the salt of the earth in life. The importance of salt can never be over emphasized in a man’s life. Without salt, life becomes boring and tasteless. That is why the Bible says in Matthew 5:13, “You are the salt of the earth; but if the salt loses its flavor, how shall it be seasoned…” Therefore, a Christian who is indeed the salt of the world should endeavor to constantly retain his flavor on the surface of the earth in life. Salt of course seasons, soothing, preserves and also adds flavor to life. Life that is devoid of salt is always boring and uninteresting in life. God does not want you as a Christian to lose your flavor because you are a blessing to others in life. A life that is salt less is absolutely a life that is devoid of God’s blessings in life forever.
In fact, every Christian should program his life in blessing others within and outside his vicinity in life. When you learn to bless others, your life becomes more meaningful to God and to mankind in life. That is the reason why the Bible says in 1 Peter 3:10, “For ‘He who would love life and see good days, let him refrain his tongue from evil, and his lips from speaking deceit.” In fact, a Christian had been destined by God to be a blessing to humanity and can never be a curse in life. God wants you to use your tongue to bless others and not to curse in life. A Christian’s life becomes more meaningful whenever he learns to bless others and humanity in life. Therefore, a life that blesses others is absolutely a life that is blessed by God forever.
