DAY 17 WEDNESDAY: MARCH 2021

BE STEADFAST IN YOUR FAITH IN GOD!

Watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong (1 Corinthians 16:13).

Every Christian should endeavor to be steadfast in his faith in life with God. When your faith in God is not steadfast, you can never overcome life’s challenges. It takes steadfastness and dogged faith in the Lord to overcome and be victorious in life. The Bible says in the opening text watch, stand fast in the faith, be brave, be strong. Of course, every Christian should endeavor to take note of the fact that God indeed wants him to always be steadfast in his faith in life. A Christian who wants to watch and be steadfast in his faith needs to be determined and be constantly focused in life with God. Hence whenever a Christian remains steadfast in his faith in life with God, he absolutely receives God’s grace for brevity and boldness in life forever.

The Bible gives us a vivid case study through the life of Abraham who is the father of faith in Romans 4:20 thus, “He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God.” Abraham was steadfast in his faith in God against all odds in life. He did not waver at the promise of God, but was strengthened in faith by constantly giving glory to God in life. No wonder God called him the father of faith in life. Therefore, a Christian is expected to constantly emulate Abraham by exercising his faith with God in life. A life that is lived in steadfastness and faith with God in life is absolutely a life that is indeed lived in confidence and boldness in life forever.

A Christian should learn to always watch and be steadfast in his faith with God in life. He should never be wavering and doubt the promises of God in his life no matter the circumstances of life. That is the reason why the Bible says in Hebrews 10:23, “Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful.” God is so faithful to keep and fulfill His promises concerning your life; therefore, learn to be steadfast in your faith with Him in life. In fact, whenever a Christian is steadfast in his faith in God, he absolutely becomes more than a conqueror in life (Romans 8: 37). Therefore, a life that is lived in God’s steadfastness and faith is absolutely a life that is lived to always bring glory to God in the highest in life forever.

Daily Tip: Every Christian should learn to be watchful and remain steadfast in his faith with God in life because the Almighty is always faithful and reliable in life forever. Shalom!

Golden Text: Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord (1 Corinthians 15:58).
