DAY 2 TUESDAY: MARCH 2021

A CHRISTIAN IS JUSTIFIED BY FAITH!

Therefore, having being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ (Romans 5:1).

The word, “Justify” simply means having a right standing with God; hence, to be totally set free by God without any form of excuse whatsoever in life. The Bible says in the opening text that therefore, having being justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ. When a Christian is justified by faith, it simply means that by faith he has a right standing with God and at the same time totally set free without any form of excuse whatsoever in life. Of course, every Christian should endeavor to take note of the fact that he is justified by faith in the Lord in life. Hence whenever a Christian is justified by faith in the Lord, he absolutely receives grace and favor from the Lord which sets him free in life forever.

A Christian is justified by faith not necessarily because of his good works based on the Law of Moses but because of faith in Christ Jesus in life. That is why the Bible says in Galatians 2:16, “Knowing that a man is not justified by the works of the law but by faith in Jesus Christ, even we have believed in Christ Jesus, that we might be justified by faith in Christ and not by the works of the law; for by the works of the law no flesh shall be justified.” Therefore, a Christian can never be justified by his works and merits but by faith in the Lord through grace in life. A life that is justified by God is absolutely a life that can never be put in total bondage in life forever.

This is the genuine reason why salvation is by grace alone and not by the works of the flesh or by the Law of Moses in life. Of course, grace is obtained by faith in Christ Jesus in life. That is the reason why the Bible says in Ephesians 2:8, “For by grace you have been saved through faith, and that not of yourselves; it is the gift of God.” In fact, because faith in Christ Jesus is by grace; therefore, salvation becomes a gift and not by merits or by self-efforts in life. Therefore, every Christian should endeavor to take note of the fact that he is justified by faith in the Lord through grace in life. Therefore, a life of justification in the Lord is absolutely a life that is indeed blessed and favored by God in life forever.

Daily Tip: Every Christian is justified by faith and absolutely obtained by grace in Christ Jesus which is a free gift from God that actually sets him totally free in life forever. Shalom!
