DAY 5 TUESDAY: JANUARY 2021

RECEIVE THE FULLNESS OF THE SPIRIT!

And of His fullness we have all received, and grace for grace (John 1:16).

A Christian did not receive the Spirit of God in measure but in full. The Holy Spirit dwells in you in fullness with grace for grace in life. That is the reason why you as a Christian are very unique, distinct and special in life. Of course, you are very special because the Holy Spirit dwells inside of you in fullness. No wonder the Bible says that greater is He that is in you than the one in the world (1 John 4:4). Every Christian should endeavor to take note of the fact that God indeed wants him to receive the fullness of the spirit in life. The fullness of God’s Spirit dwells in the life of a Christian. Hence, a Christian absolutely received the fullness of the Holy Spirit with double grace in life forever.

Although in the Old Testament, the great prophets, priests, judges and kings never had the Spirit of God in fullness because the grace of God was not fully in operation then. But now, we are privileged to enjoy God’s abundant grace in our lives. The grace of God gave us the opportunity to receive the fullness of God’s Spirit in abundance. Jesus Christ was the first to receive the fullness of God’s Spirit (John 3:34). Therefore, Jesus Christ was the First fruit of the beneficiary of the fullness of God’s Spirit and thereafter Christians are now also partakers of the fullness of the Holy Spirit in life. The fullness of the Holy Spirit is absolutely the full revelations and manifestations of God’s Spirit in total reality of man’s existence in life forever.

As a Christian, the divine life of God has completely supplanted the human life from your parental lineage (John 1:12-13). This divine life of God is the Spirit of God which you have received in the fullness of the Holy Ghost in life. That is the reason why the Bible tells us in Ephesians 3:19, “To know the love of Christ which passes knowledge; that you may be filled with all the fullness of God.” In fact, for a Christian to be filled with the fullness of God, he should first and foremost receive the fullness of the Holy Spirit into his life. A Christian is indeed filled with the fullness of God by receiving the fullness of God’s Spirit in life. Therefore, a life that is devoid of the fullness of the Holy Spirit is absolutely a life that is powerless and spiritually blinded in life forever.

Daily Tip: As a Christian, receive the fullness of the Holy Spirit and grow from grace to grace in life forever. Shalom!

Golden Text: And you are complete in Him, who is the head of all principality and power (Colossians 2:10).
