DAY 25 FRIDAY: DECEMBER 2020

LIVING FOR CHRIST: THE ESSENCE OF CHRISTMAS!

For to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain (Philippians 1:21).

Christmas had been a major controversy in the Christendom in life. Some do not see the essence of Christmas Day’s celebration simply because that was not the actual date Jesus Christ was born in life. Whether it is true or not, let us give kudos to the church fathers that agreed and approved this date for Jesus Christ birthday’s celebration for the sake of remembrance in life (Matthew 18:18-19). The Bible says in the opening text that for to me, to live is Christ, and to die is gain. Of course, every Christian should endeavor to take note of the fact that the essence of Christmas is to live for Christ Jesus in life. Hence, be noted of the fact that whatever one fails to celebrate in life, the memory of it can easily be forgotten and go into extinction forever.

The essence of Christmas Day’s celebration is to live for Jesus Christ and not for self-aggrandizement in life. Thank God for the awareness that Christmas Day’s celebration has created all over the world. Through the celebration, many heathens have given their lives to Christ Jesus and lived to the glory of God in life. The Bible says in John 11:26, “And whoever lives and believes in Me shall never die. Do you believe this?” Therefore, whoever believes and lives his life for Jesus Christ daily can never experience the second death in life. The second death leads to eternal doom in life. Indeed, Christmas Day’s celebration has led many to Jesus Christ by preventing them to experiencing the second death in life. A life that is lived without Jesus Christ is absolutely a life lived in grief, pains and sorrow in life forever.

The essence of Christmas Day’s celebration is to re-echo the voice of Jesus Christ all over the world in life. That is the reason why the Bible says in John 5:25, “Most assuredly, I say to you, the hour is coming, and now is, when the dead will hear the voice of the Son of God; and those who hear will live.” In fact, Christmas Day’s celebration all over the world re-echoes the voice of Jesus Christ and His second coming to the saints of the church in life. We should therefore take note of the fact that Christmas Day’s celebration is a joyful feast with Great Avenue for evangelism and soul winning all over the world in life forever. Happy Christmas Day’s Celebration!

Daily Tip: Everything in life that has advantage also has disadvantage. The advantage of Christmas Day’s celebration far outweighs its disadvantage in life. What you fail to celebrate in life, the memory of it can easily be forgotten and go into extinction in life forever. Shalom!

Golden Text: For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life (John 3:16).
