DAY 13 SUNDAY: DECEMBER 2020

PRAYING CEASELESSLY IN LIFE!

Praying without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17).

As a Christian, God wants you to pray ceaselessly in life. Praying ceaselessly simply means praying without season in life. Prayer was the live wire and blood of Jesus Christ in life. He started His life and ministry with prayer; He continued it in prayer; He died in prayer; He resurrected in prayer; and He is still interceding for us today in prayer. The Bible says in the opening text that we should pray without ceasing. Of course, every Christian should endeavor to take note of the fact that God indeed wants him to pray without season in life. A life of prayer is absolutely a life that is focused and dependent in God for direction in life forever.

Jesus Christ was a perfect role model to us in prayer. He demonstrated through His life and ministry the efficacy and power of prayer. That is why He said in Luke 18:1 thus, “Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart.” Therefore, it is constant prayer that makes a Christian to be bold and courageous in the faith and also in the Lord in life. A Christian is expected to pray ceaselessly because that is the only way he could overcome the challenges and obstacles of life. A life that is devoid of prayer is absolutely a life that is totally dead and at the same time lost direction in life forever.

Praying ceaselessly as a Christian is not by power, nor by might but by God’s Spirit and grace in life (Zechariah 4:6). That is the reason why the Bible says in Romans 8:26, “Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.” In fact, whenever a Christian learns to pray ceaselessly, his weakness and limitations in life gives way for the Holy Spirit to lead him in totality. Therefore, a Christian should take advantage of God’s Spirit and grace in praying ceaselessly in life. A life of prayer is indeed a life that is totally full of boldness, absolute confidence in the Lord with the joy of the Holy Spirit for eternal guidance and leading in life forever.

Daily Tip: Every Christian should take advantage of God’s Spirit and grace to keep praying ceaselessly in order to fully overcome life’s challenges and obstacles forever. Shalom!
