But the Spirit of the Lord came upon Gideon; then he blew the trumpet, and the Abiezrites gathered behind him. And he sent messengers throughout all Manasseh, who also gathered behind him. He also sent messengers to Asher, Zebulun, and Naphtali; and they came up to meet them (Judges 6:34-35).

Everyone is expected to pioneer a just cause and not to be dormant in life. As a Christian, prayerfully look for a just cause to pioneer because you are destined for a purpose in life. When you look around the environment, society, nation and the global world as a whole; you will discover that there are so many causes begging for attention in life. It is high time you arise and do something tangible and positive in your time just like Gideon in life. Of course, every Christian should endeavor to take note of the fact that God indeed wants him to pioneer a just cause in his time and generation in life. It takes absolute grace and wisdom from God for a Christian to pioneer a just cause in his life and ministry forever.

In the opening text, Gideon arose and pioneered a just cause in his time in life. At that time, the children of Israel were in total bondage in the hands of the Medianites. But because Gideon made himself available, he became a champion and God used him to liberate the Israelites from total bondage in life. Therefore, it is the duty of a Christian to humbly make himself available at all time in the Hand God for a total change in his life. Until you make yourself available for a just cause, God can never use you because He uses those who make themselves available in life. A life that is firmly with God can successfully pioneer any just cause in life forever.

Many youths today are taking the path of violent, armed robbery, kid nappy, terrorism, etc., because they failed to submit to God and allow the Holy Spirit to direct them in life. You can never pioneer a just cause without God helping and leading you in life. That is the reason why the Bible tells us in Zechariah 4:6, “This is the word of the Lord to Zerubbabel: ‘Not by might nor by power, but by My Spirit,’ says the Lord of hosts.” In fact, it takes the grace and the Spirit of the Lord for a Christian to pioneer a just cause in his time and generation in life. Therefore, pioneering a just cause is absolutely the will of God to every Christian in life forever. Happy New Month!
