ENDURING HARDSHIP AS A SOLDIER OF CHRIST!
You therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ (2 Timothy 2:3).
Every Christian should take note of the fact that he is supposed to be a soldier of Jesus Christ in life. A soldier is known to endure hardship and challenges of life. He does not live his life like a civilian because he is trained to endure hardship in order to please his commanding officer in life. The Bible says in the opening text that you therefore must endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ. Of course, every Christian should endeavor to take note of the fact that God wants him to endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ in life. A soldier is thoroughly trained to be toughed and disciplined in order to endure hardship in life forever.
When you fail to endure hardship as a soldier of Christ Jesus, it therefore means that you are weak and powerless in life. When you are weak and powerless; therefore, your strength is very small in life. That is why the Bible says in Proverbs 24:10, “If you faint in the day of adversity, your strength is small.” Therefore, the day of adversity is indeed the day of your testing with different trials and temptations in life. God does not want you to faint in the day of adversity in life. That is the more reason why a Christian needs to be a good and faithful soldier of Christ Jesus in life forever.
It takes endurance and determination for a Christian to receive God’s promises in His Word of life. That is the reason why the Bible says in Hebrews 10:36, “For you have need of endurance; so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise.” In fact, no matter the trials and temptations, God expects a Christian to endure and be faithful till the end in life. Every Christian should take note of the fact that the will of God for him is to endure hardship as a good soldier of Jesus Christ so that he may receive God’s eternal promises in life forever.
Daily Tip: It is God’s will for a Christian to endure hardship as a good soldier of Christ Jesus so that he may receive God’s eternal promises in life forever. Shalom!
