A CHRISTIAN IS CALLED TO BE FRUITFUL!
He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper (Psalm 1:3).
As a Christian, you were called by God to be fruitful in season and out of season in life. Every Christian should take note of the fact that the life of bareness and unfruitfulness is never God’s will for him in life. The Bible says in the opening text that he shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper. Of course, every Christian should endeavor to take note of the fact that he is called by God to be fruitful in life. Hence, the life of fruitfulness is indeed God’s will for all Christians in life forever.
Jesus Christ made it vividly clear to us in the Scriptures when He made analogy to a vine and its branches in John chapter 15. He went further to clarify in verse 16 thus, “You did not choose Me, but I chose you and appointed you that you should go and bear fruit, and that your fruit should remain, that whatever you ask the Father in My name He may give you.” Therefore, a Christian is chosen and adopted by the Lord Jesus Christ to abide and remain fruitful in the vine of life. You have the mandate and privilege to be fruitful in life. Fruitfulness is of course God’s mandate to man right from the beginning in life forever.
When a Christian learns to put his trust and confidence in the Lord, there is absolutely nothing that can stop him from being fruitful in life. That is the reason why the Bible says in Jeremiah 17:8, “For he shall be like a tree planted by the waters, which spreads out its roots by the river, and will not fear when heat comes; but its leaf will be green, and will not be anxious in the year of drought, nor will cease from yielding fruit.” In fact, every Christian should take note of the fact that God had established him in the river of life to remain fruitful. The river of life is the abundant grace of God found in Christ Jesus in life forever.
Daily Tip: Every Christian has received the mandate and privilege to be fruitful even in economic recession of life forever. Shalom!
Golden Text: The righteous shall flourish like a palm tree; he shall grow like a cedar in Lebanon (Psalm 92:12).
