FOCUS YOUR SALVATION ON YOUR PRESENT STATE!
For He says: “In an acceptable time I have heard you, and in the day of salvation I have helped you.” Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation (2 Corinthians 6:2).
There are some persons who have glued their lives on the mistakes of the past, and at the same time worry over the fears of the future in life. But God expects us as Christians to focus our salvation on our present state of reality in life. The Bible says in the opening text that for He says: “In an acceptable time I have heard you, and in the day of salvation I have helped you.” Behold, now is the accepted time; behold, now is the day of salvation. Of course, every Christian should endeavor to take note of the fact that God wants him to always focus his salvation on his present state of reality in life forever.
The Bible recorded vividly that when Jesus Christ was about to start His ministry after forty days fasting; He went into the Synagogue and was presented a scroll of Prophet Isaiah in life. He presented His manifesto to the amazing crowd by focusing His mission on the present state of reality thus, “And He began to say to them, ‘Today this Scripture is fulfilled in your hearing” (Luke 4:21). Therefore just like Jesus Christ did, hence, a Christian should endeavor to focus his ministry on his present state of life according to the Scriptures. Furthermore, a Christian should learn to focus his salvation on his present state of reality in life forever.
God revealed Himself to Moses in the Old Testament as the, “I AM THAT I AM” in life (Exodus 3:14). He did not reveal Himself as the, “I WAS” or “I WILL BE” but “I AM THAT I AM.” This shows that God’s salvation is always focus on man’s present state of life and reality. That is the reason why the Bible says in Hebrews 3:13, “But exhort one another daily, while it is called ‘Today,’ lest any of you be hardened through the deceitfulness of sin.” In fact, the present state of life and reality of the Scriptures is indeed the fulfillment of God’s promises in the life of a Christian forever.
Daily Tip: Every Christian is expected to focus his salvation experience on his present state of reality, and not on his past or future in life forever. Shalom!
Golden Text: Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about its own things. Sufficient for the day is its own trouble (Matthew 6:34).
