DAY 11 TUESDAY: AUGUST 2020

LIVING YOUR LIFE FOR JESUS CHRIST!

And He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again (2 Corinthians 5:15).

Jesus Christ died for you so that you will live your life for Him. Therefore, you are not expected to live your life for self-gratification but rather, living your life for Jesus Christ who died to save and set you free from condemnation in life. The Bible says in the opening text that He died for all, that those who live should live no longer for themselves, but for Him who died for them and rose again. Of course, every Christian should endeavor to take note of the fact that Jesus Christ died for him in order to sustain his hope in life. A Christian should learn to live his life for Jesus Christ. Hence, the life a Christian lives is to bring absolute glory to God in life forever.

One of the ways to live your life for Jesus Christ is to please Him always in life. That is why the Bible says in 2 Timothy 2:4, “No one engaged in warfare entangles himself with the affairs of this life, that he may please him who enlisted him as a soldier.” Therefore, a Christian is never a civilian but a heavenly candidate enlisted into Jesus Christ’s army in life. A soldier is expected to please his commanding officer always in life. In the same way, Jesus Christ is our Commanding Officer in life and destiny; therefore, every Christian is expected to please Him in totality with the whole of his life forever.

When a Christian lives his life for Jesus Christ by pleasing Him in totality, his life will be fruitful in good works and abounding in God’s knowledge in life. That is the reason why the Bible says in Colossians 1:10, “That you may walk worthy of the Lord, fully pleasing Him, being fruitful in every good work and increasing in the knowledge of God.” In fact, whenever a Christian walks worthy of the Lord, he pleases the Lord and also increases in knowledge daily in life. The life of a Christian becomes more meaningful when he learns to live his life for Christ Jesus. The life a Christian lives is indeed a living sacrifice to the glory of God in life forever (Romans 12:2).

Daily Tip: Every Christian is expected to live his life for Jesus Christ by pleasing Him in totality forever. Shalom!

Golden Text: We then, as workers together with Him also plead with you not to receive the grace of God in vain (2 Corinthians 6:1).
