BE MOTIVATED BY GOD’S WORD IN LIFE!
But be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves (James 1:22).
When the Bible says that be doers of the Word and not hearers only. What it simply means is that let God’s Word be your motivating factor in life. A Christian should not be motivated by material possessions or the circumstances surrounding him but rather, he should learn to be motivated by the Word of God in life. The Bible says in the opening text that be doers of the word, and not hearers only, deceiving yourselves. Of course, every Christian should endeavor to take note of the fact that he should allow the Word of God to always be his motivating factor in life and ministry. It is only God’s Word that has the potency to motivate one from the physical realm to the spiritual realm in life forever.
When a Christian is being motivated by God’s Word, there is nothing that can neither stop him nor his progress in life. That is why the Bible says in Acts 20:32, “So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified.” Therefore, it is indeed the Word of God that builds and sanctifies the life of a Christian by enabling him to take possessions of his heritage in life. The Word of God has the potency to build, equip and sanctify fully a Christian in life. A life that is devoid of God’s motivating factor via His Word of life is absolutely dead forever.
When you are motivated by God’s Word, the Word of God automatically becomes part and parcel of your entire being and system in life. At that point in time, you are no longer ordinary in life. That is the reason why the Bible says in 2 Corinthians 3:3, “Clearly you are an epistle of Christ, ministered by us, written not with ink but by the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of flesh, that is, of the heart.” In fact, every Christian is expected to take note of the fact that he is an epistle of Jesus Christ written in the tablets of his heart by the power of the Holy Spirit. It is the power of God’s Word that makes a Christian more than a conqueror in life forever (Romans 8:37).
Daily Tip: Every Christian is expected to be motivated by God’s Word in order to dominate and overcome life’s challenges forever. Shalom!
Golden Text: You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world (1 John 4:4).
