DAY 4 TUESDAY: AUGUST 2020

JESUS CHRIST IS AT WORK IN ME!

The thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly (John 10:10).

A Christian is not just ordinary because he carries the life of the divinity. There is a greater power in the life of a Christian than the one in the world in life (1 John 4:4). In the opening text, the Bible tells us that the thief does not come except to steal, and to kill, and to destroy. I have come that they may have life, and that they may have it more abundantly. Of course, every Christian should endeavor to take note of the fact that Jesus Christ is at work in his life and ministry. Jesus Christ is indeed at work in a Christian perfecting redemptive work in his life forever.

In fact before Jesus Christ came into our lives, we were ravaged, killed and destroyed by Satan, the thief in life. That is why the Bible tells us in Ephesians 2:1, “And you He made alive, who were dead in trespasses and sins.” Therefore, whoever that is in Christ Jesus is made alive in the spirit but dead in trespasses and sins in life. The Bible made it emphatically clear that we were dead in our trespasses and sins in life. But glory be to God that Jesus Christ came working in your life, and as a result you came back to life in Him in life. Of course, whoever lives without Jesus Christ is already dead and condemned in life forever (John 3:17).

Every Christian should take cognizance of the fact that he had eternal life through Christ Jesus. That is the reason why the Bible says in 1 John 5:13, “These things I have written to you who believe in the name of the Son of God, that you may know that you have eternal life, and that you may continue to believe in the name of the Son of God.” In fact, eternal life is found in Jesus Christ who is the Son of the living God and Bishop of our souls in life. Hence, through the Name of Jesus Christ, the Son of the living God a Christian has eternal life in God. The life that is lived in Jesus Christ is the life full of abundance grace till eternity forever.

Daily Tip: Jesus Christ working in the life of a Christian gives him the privilege of receiving eternal life of God and grace till eternity forever. Shalom!

Golden Text: For as the Father has life in Himself, so He has granted the Son to have life in Himself (John 5:26).
