THE JOY OF FINISHING WELL AND STRONG!
Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work” (John 4:34).
It is very glorious and joyful when a Christian is able to finish his assignment well and strong in life. God is not glorified when you fail to finish your assignment and project in life. The Bible says in the opening text that Jesus said to them, “My food is to do the will of Him who sent Me, and to finish His work.” Of course, every Christian should endeavor to take note of the fact that it is the will of God for him to finish his assignment well and strong in life. Jesus Christ did and finished the work of His Father well and strong in life. Hence, He is our model in life and ministry. Therefore, finishing well and strong the work of the Father is indeed the will of God for all Christians in life forever.
The Bible tells us vividly that on the cross of Calvary, Jesus Christ fulfilled the will of the Father and finished His work well and strong in life. That is why the Bible says in John 19:30, “So when Jesus had received the sour wine, He said, ‘It is finished!’ And bowing His head, He gave up His spirit.” Therefore, whenever a Christian finishes his assignment and ministry in life, God is indeed glorified. If Jesus Christ had not finished well and strong His assignment, the work of our salvation would not have been consummated in life. But thank God that He successfully finished the work of our salvation well and strong in life forever.
But thank God that He finished well and strong the work of our salvation; therefore, He is more than qualified to be our role Model, Lord and Savior. That is the reason why the Bible says in Hebrews 12:2, “Looking unto Jesus, the author and finisher of our faith, who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despising the shame, and has sat down at the right hand of the throne of God.” In fact, Jesus Christ becomes our perfect example in life and ministry simply because He finished the work of the Father well and strong in life. Hence, finishing well and strong the work of the Father is indeed the will of God to all Christians in life and ministry forever. Happy New Month!
Daily Tip: Every Christian should be challenged to finish his assignment in life and ministry well and strong just like Jesus Christ did forever. Shalom!
Golden Text: The end of a thing is better that its beginning; the patient in spirit is better than the proud in spirit (Ecclesiastes 7:8).
