THE LOVE THAT LEADS TO DIVINE COMMUNION!
Jesus answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him (John 14:23).
There is a love that leads to divine communion; and this is the love of God that is being expressed through total obedience to His Word in life. You can never claim to love God when you fail to obey His Word of life. The Bible says in the opening text that Jesus Christ answered and said to him, “If anyone loves Me, he will keep My word; and My Father will love him, and We will come to him and make Our home with him.” Of course, every Christian should endeavor to take note of the fact that God’s love leads to divine communion in life. The love of God which is agape has the attribute of God in nature with divine reunion in life forever.
Any Christian who wants to have a divine communion with God should learn to keep His commandments in life. That is why Jesus Christ said in John 14:21 thus, “He who has my commandments and keep them, it is he who loves Me. And he who loves Me will be loved by My Father, and I will love him and manifest Myself to him.” Therefore, absolute obedience to God’s commandments is an act of love and divine sacrifice to God in life. Hence, love is a basic requirement for your divine communion in Christ Jesus. Love is indeed manifested through obedience and obedience devoid of love is counterfeit in life forever.
Furthermore, love that is devoid of obedience is counterfeit and not genuine in life. You can never claim to love God when you fail to obey His Word of life. That is the reason why the Bible says in John 15:10, “If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love.” In fact, absolute obedience to the commandments of God is an expression of divine and sincere love for God in life. It is Jesus Christ’s love and obedience to God’s Word that leads one into a divine communion with Him in life forever.
Daily Tip: The love that is fulfilled and leads one into divine communion is the love that is expressed through total obedience to God’s Word in life forever. Shalom!
