DAY 17 FRIDAY: JULY 2020

YOU ARE COMMENDED TO GOD’S WORD!

So now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified (Acts 20:32).

You are commended to God’s Word as a Christian in life. God’s Word is able to build you up and give you your inheritance in Christ Jesus. In the opening text, the Bible tells us that so now, brethren, I commend you to God and to the word of His grace, which is able to build you up and give you an inheritance among all those who are sanctified. Of course, every Christian should endeavor to take note of the fact that he is indeed commended to God’s Word by divine grace in life. This was Apostle Paul’s prayer to the brethren of the Church in Ephesus when he was departing from them. God’s Word is awesomely capable to guide and guard a Christian to life eternity forever.

Every Christian is born by God’s Word in life. Therefore, through God’s Word a Christian is expected to live his life and exist eternally. That is why the Bible says in 1 Peter 1:23, “Having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the word of God which lives and abides forever.” Therefore, whenever a Christian learns to always commend himself to God’s Word, he makes himself an overcomer in life. When a Christian is commended to God’s Word, he becomes incorruptible, living and abiding in life. The Word of God is of course gracious and powerful in life forever.

Moreover, the Word of God has the potency to deliver your soul and totally liberate you from bondage in life. That is the reason why the Bible says in James 1:21, “Therefore lay aside all filthiness and overflow of wickedness, and receive with meekness the implanted word, which is able to save your souls.” In fact, through the Word of God a Christian purifies himself from filthiness, overflow of wickedness and delivers his soul from death and damnation in life. A Christian should take note of the fact that God’s Word is indeed sharper than any two-edged sword in life forever (Hebrews 4:12).

Daily Tip: Every Christian is commended to God’s Word for edification, possession and eternal security in life forever. Shalom!
