DAY 16 THURSDAY: JULY 2020

SEARCHING FOR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART!

And you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, says the Lord, and I will bring you back from your captivity; I will gather you from all the nations and from all the places where I have driven you, says the Lord, and I will bring you to the place from which I cause you to be carried away captive (Jeremiah 29:13-14).

Everyone should search for God with all his heart in life. The Bible says in the opening text that you will seek Me and find Me, when you search for Me with all your heart. I will be found by you, says the Lord, and I will bring you back from your captivity; I will gather you from all the nations and from all the places  where I have driven you, says the Lord, and I will bring you to the place from which I cause you to be carried away captive. Of course, every Christian should endeavor to take note of the fact that God indeed wants him to always search for Him with all of his heart in life. Searching for God with all desires and humility is the will of God for man in life forever.

God addressed David a man after His own heart because he knew how to search for Him with all of his heart in life. That is why David said in Psalm 42:1 thus, “As the deer pants for the water brooks, so pants my soul for you, o God.” Therefore, it is the duty of a Christian to always search for the Lord with all of his heart and mind in life. When you learn to search for God with all your heart, He can never forsake you because His presence will always be with you in life. When God is with you; therefore, neither one nor powers can be against you in life (Romans 8:31). With God on your side, all things are possible in life forever.

Jesus Christ emphasized the need and essence of searching for God through prayers in life. That is the reason why He said in Matthew 7:7 thus, “Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you.” In fact, whoever wants to search for the Lord and find Him must do so through the process of asking, seeking and knocking in prayers always. Every Christian is expected to search for the Lord through prayers just like Jesus Christ did and taught us in His Word. When a Christian searches for the Lord through prayers, he will definitely find Him in life forever.

Daily Tip: As a Christian, it is your responsibility to search for the Lord with all your heart, and God will reveal Himself to you forever! Amen. Shalom!

Golden Text: My soul thirsts for God, for the living God. When shall I come and appear before God? (Psalm 42:2).
