BE CONTENTED NO MATTER THE CHALLENGES!
Not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content (Philippians 4:11).
God wants you as a Christian to be contented in life no matter the challenges you are facing. Life is full of challenges, ups and down; but you should learn to put your trust and confidence in the Lord. The Bible says in the opening text that not that I speak in regard to need, for I have learned in whatever state I am, to be content. Of course, every Christian should endeavor to take note of the fact that contentment is a way of life that leads to divine promotion and satisfaction. A Christian should always desire to be contented in the Lord and be focused in life. A life that is devoid of contentment is indeed a life that is full of ingratitude to God forever.
No matter the challenges one faces, it does not last forever. Whatever goes up in life must surely come down. That is why the Bible says in 2 Corinthians 4:17, “For our light affliction, which is but for a moment, is working for us a far more exceeding and eternal weight of glory.” Therefore, trials and temptations in life could sometimes be a stepping stone forward for a Christian if properly annexed. The present challenges that you are facing in life will soon become the platform for your celebration if only you could be contented in God. Hence, contentment is a great virtue that brings out one’s strength in the time of difficulties and challenges in life forever.
Contentment in life is a great virtue needed by every Christian who wants to live a life of success and victory in Christ Jesus. That is the reason why Apostle Paul told Timothy his beloved son in the Lord thus, “Now godliness with contentment is great gain” (1 Timothy 6:6). In fact, whenever a Christian is indeed contented in life, he experiences God’s peace like a river. Contentment is a great gain for anyone who wants to live a life of godliness. Except you are contented in life, you can never be godly as a Christian. Life that is devoid of contentment is indeed a life that is unstable and unsatisfied forever.
Daily Tip: Except you are contented in life, you can never be victorious and godly as a Christian forever. Shalom!
Golden Text: For His anger is but for a moment, His favor is for life; weeping may endue for a night, but joy comes in the morning (Psalm 30:5).
