DAY 5 SUNDAY: JULY 2020

GOD’S WORD IS SPIRIT AND LIFE!

It is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life (John 6:63).

The Word of God is spirit and life; forever dependable and devoid of failure. When you build your life in God’s Word, you become indestructible and immovable. In the opening text, the Bible tells us that it is the Spirit who gives life; the flesh profits nothing. The words that I speak to you are spirit, and they are life. God’s Word has the potency to revive the spirit, and brings life to dry bones and carcasses. Of course, every Christian should endeavor to take note of the fact that God’s Word is indeed spirit and life. God’s Word is spirit and life because it revives, resuscitates and perfects the human life forever.

No matter the state of life one finds himself, hold firmly to God’s Word in life. The Word of God can never return void without fulfilling its purpose in one’s life. That is why the Bible says in Isaiah 55:11, “So shall my word be that goes forth from My mouth; it shall not return to Me void, but it shall accomplish what I please, and it shall prosper in the thing for which I sent it.” Therefore, the Word of God can never return void because of its potency and fervency in life. God’s Word must prosper in everything and fulfill its purpose in the life and destiny of man because of its spiritual capacity in life. The Word of God is spirit and life forever.

As a Christian, you were born by the Word of God which is spirit and life. The Rhema of God is in your spirit, and that Rhema in your spirit gives you “zoe” which is the life of God. That is the reason why the Bible says in 1 Peter 1:23, “Having been born again, not of corruptible seed but incorruptible, through the Word of God which lives and abides forever.” In fact, God’s Word is indeed incorruptible, indestructible, lived and abided in life.  The Word of God is destined to live and abide eternally even in a man’s life. The Rhema of God in the spirit of a Christian gives him eternal life forever.

Daily Tip: You should endeavor to build your life in God’s Word which is spirit and life of God forever. Shalom!

Golden Text: In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God (John 1:1).
