THE PURPOSE OF JESUS CHRIST’S MANIFESTATION!
He who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil (1 John 3:8).
The reason why Jesus Christ came to live in the flesh was to destroy the works of Satan in our lives. Through the coming, death and resurrection of Jesus Christ, man was totally liberated from the bondage of sin and Satan in life. The Bible says in the opening text that he who sins is of the devil, for the devil has sinned from the beginning. For this purpose the Son of God was manifested, that He might destroy the works of the devil. Of course, every Christian should endeavor to take note of the fact that the purpose of Jesus Christ’s manifestation was to destroy the works of the devil in his life. The devil is indeed the arch-enemy of man but his power and influence was destroyed through the manifestation of Jesus Christ in life forever.
When Jesus Christ was in the flesh on the surface of the earth, He went about doing good, healing all manners of sickness and raising the dead back to life. That is why the Bible tells us in Romans 10:38, “How God anointed Jesus of Nazareth with the Holy Spirit and with power, who went about doing good and healing all who were oppressed by the devil, for God was with Him.” Therefore, the coming of Jesus Christ brought healing, salvation and total deliverance into man’s life. Jesus Christ who is the Savior of the world was indeed anointed by the Holy Spirit to liberate man from sin and total damnation in life forever.
The purpose why Jesus Christ came to manifest Himself to us was to destroy totally the works of Satan in our mortal bodies in life. That is the reason why the Bible says in 2 Corinthians 4:11, “For we who live are always delivered to death for Jesus’ sake, that the life of Jesus also may be manifested in our mortal flesh.” In fact, Jesus Christ was born in the flesh in order to destroy the powers of the flesh in the life of a man who was also born in the flesh. The powers of Satan through the flesh had been rendered impotent through Jesus Christ’s manifestation and death on the cross. Of course, Jesus Christ who is the Son of God is indeed the Savior of mankind in life forever.
