DAY 5 FRIDAY: JUNE 2020

YOU ARE MORE THAN A CONQUEROR!

Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who love us (Romans 8:35-37).

You are more than a conqueror because you carry God’s glory in your life. The Bible says in the opening text that who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall tribulation, or distress, or persecution or famine, or nakedness, or peril, or sword? As it is written: “For Your sake we are killed all day long; we are accounted as sheep for the slaughter.” Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who love us. Of course, every Christian should endeavor to take note of the fact that he is more than a conqueror through Jesus Christ who strengthens him in life forever.

The Bible tells us that a Christian carries the glory of God in life. The glory of God in a Christian’s life is far greater than life’s problems and challenges. That is why the Bible says in 1 John 4:4, “You are of God, little children, and have overcome them, because He who is in you is greater than he who is in the world.” Therefore, a Christian carries the power of the Holy Spirit in him and that makes him more than a conqueror in life. Indeed, the Holy Spirit who is in the life of a Christian is far greater than the powers and forces of Satan that operate in the world in life. The glory of God is the tabernacle of His presence in a Christian’s life forever.

God did not promise us in His Word a life free from problems, obstacles and challenges; but He indeed promised us His presence that will wrought victories in our lives. That is the reason why the Bible says in John 16:33, “These things I have spoken to you, that in Me you may have peace. In the world you will have tribulation; but be of good cheer, I have overcome the world.” In fact, it is the peace of God which surpasses all human understanding that enables a Christian to overcome in life. A Christian should take note of the fact that in Jesus Christ, he has everlasting peace with God and indeed remain victorious in life as well. However, every Christian is expected to be bold and confidence in the Lord forever (Psalm 27:1).

Daily Tip: God has made a Christian more than a conqueror; therefore, he is expected to know who he is in the world in life forever. Shalom!

Golden Text: But none of these things move me; nor do I count my life dear to myself, so that I may finish my race with joy, and the ministry which I received from the Lord Jesus, to testify to the gospel of the grace of God (Acts 20:24).
