LET YOUR WORD EDIFY AND IMPART GRACE!
Let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers (Ephesians 4:29).
Words are very powerful because they have the potency to build and to also destroy in life. When you learn to speak rightly, your life will be well built. But when you speak negatively, your life will be tattered and full of frustration. In the opening text, the Bible tells us that let no corrupt word proceed out of your mouth, but what is good for necessary edification, that it may impart grace to the hearers. Of course, every Christian should endeavor to take note of the fact that his words edify and impart grace to his hearers in life. A Christian’s words are full of power of efficacy for life and forever.
The Bible tells us vividly that your words have the ability to edify and impart grace in life. This is possible when you learn to speak rightly from God’s Word in life. That is why the Bible says in Mark 11:23, “For assuredly, I say to you, whoever says to this mountain, ‘Be removed and be cast into the sea,’ and does not doubt in his heart, but believes that those things he says will be done, he will have whatever he says.” Therefore, words are very powerful enough to either create or mar one’s life and existence. Again, a Christian’s words are indeed powerful enough to move mountains of life’s challenges and obstacles forever.
The more a Christian speaks rightly from the Word of life, the more he edifies and imparts grace to his hearers in life. Whenever a Christian speaks rightly the Word of life, it gives him confidence and boldness in the Lord. That is the reason why the Psalmist says in Psalm 27:1, “The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid.” In fact, faith based words can bring about absolute light and boldness to a Christian’s life. Furthermore, God’s word in the life of a Christian gives him absolute confidence and boldness in the land of the living. Indeed, every Christian should learn to speak God’s Word and be confident in life forever.
