DAY 25 MONDAY: MAY 2020

GOD’S COVENANT IS EVERLASTING IN LIFE!

Remember His covenant forever, the word which He commanded, for a thousand generations, the covenant which He made with Abraham, and His oath to Isaac (1 Chronicles 16:15-16).

God’s covenant is always everlasting and it does not fail because He is not a man that will lie in life. God will never break His covenant with man in life. Whatever covenant that God has made with man is binding eternally in life. In the opening text, the Bible says that remember His covenant forever, the word which He commanded, for a thousand generations, the covenant which He made with Abraham, and His oath to Isaac. Of course, every Christian should endeavor to take note of the fact that God’s covenant is everlasting in life. God is indeed a covenant Keeper that can never break His covenant with man no matter the challenges and circumstances of life forever.

When God made a covenant with Noah that He will never again destroy the earth with water; He sealed it up with a sign thus, “I set My rainbow in the cloud, and it shall be for the sign of the covenant between Me and the earth” (Genesis 9:13). Therefore, the sign of the rainbow in the cloud is indeed an everlasting sign of God’s covenant with man in life. Hence, the rainbow is a pointer of God’s everlasting covenant with man in life. This shows that God is a covenant Keeper and His covenant with man is eternally binding in life. Therefore, whatever covenant that God has made with man, He sealed it up with an everlasting oath that abided in life forever.

Even though man is unstable and unfaithful, God remains stable and eternally faithful in life. Whatever covenant that God has made with you, though it may tarry but wait for it because it must surely come to pass in life. That is the reason why the Bible says in Psalm 105:8, “He remembers His covenant forever, the word which He commanded, for a thousand generations.” In fact, God always remember His covenant with man eternally because He is a covenant keeping God in life. Therefore, His covenant with man can never fail nor disappoint because He is eternally faithful God in life forever.

Daily Tip: God’s covenant is everlasting because He can never fail nor lie no matter the challenges and circumstances of life forever. Shalom!

Golden Text: God is not a man, that He should lie, nor a son of man, that He should repent. Has He said, and will He not do? Or has He spoken, and will He not make it good? (Numbers 23:19)
