DAY 13 WEDNESDAY: MAY 2020

BE BOLD AND COURAGEOUS FOR THE LORD!

For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek (Romans 1:16).

As a Christian, the Lord expects you to be bold and courageous for the gospel of Jesus Christ in life. Do not be a coward or be timid when it comes to the things of God and the gospel of Christ Jesus in life. In the opening text, the Bible tells us that I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is the power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek. Of course, every Christian should endeavor to take note of the fact that he must be bold and courageous in the Lord in life. It is foolishness for you as a Christian to be ashamed of preaching the gospel message of Jesus Christ in this world of sin and condemnation in life forever.

There is a great repercussion for one to be ashamed of the gospel of the Lord in life. It can lead to the forfeiture of your eternal destiny in life. That is why Jesus Christ said in Mark 8:38 thus, “For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words in this adulterous and sinful generation, of him the Son of Man also will be ashamed when He comes in the glory of His Father with the Holy angels.” Therefore, to be ashamed of Jesus Christ who is the Son of God is to be eternally separated from God in life. Indeed, whoever that is ashamed of Jesus Christ and His eternal gospel message of salvation does not in anyway merit the favor of God in his life. Every Christian is expected to be bold and courageous for the Lord and preached His gospel message of salvation in season and out of season in life forever.

The early church was bold and courageous for the Lord even in the midst of threats to life. The Bible says that even the Council of the Jewish elders and the Sadducees threatened them never to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ in life. But they remained bold and courageous for the Lord and responded thus, “…Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you more than to God, you judge” (Acts 4:19). In fact, a Christian should be bold and courageous enough in the Lord to be able to stop the threats and intimidations of the kingdom of darkness in life. Whenever a Christian is bold and courageous in the Lord, the threats and intimidations of the enemies become nothing to him because the joy of the Lord becomes his strength in life forever.

Daily Tip: Every Christian should be bold and courageous for the Lord by preaching the gospel message of Christ Jesus in life forever. Shalom!

Golden Text: Also I say to you, whoever confesses Me before men, him the Son of Man also will confess before the angels of God (Luke 12:8).
