DAY 5 TUESDAY: MAY 2020

MAKE DISCIPLES OF THE NATIONS IN LIFE!

Go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19).

Discipleship is a must for every Christian irrespective of your background, denomination, status, position and education in life. God expects you to make disciples of the nations in life. It is a very urgent assignment that Jesus Christ gave to all His followers in life. In the opening text, the Bible says go therefore and make disciples of all the nations, baptizing them in the name of the Father and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit. Of course, every Christian should endeavor to take note of the fact that discipleship is one of the duties he is expected to carry-out in life. Indeed, it is the duty of every Christian to make disciples of all nations by winning souls into God’s kingdom in life. Soul winning is a must and serious business for every Christian in life forever.

The world and its systems are full of darkness, corruption and wickedness in life. When Christians fail to disciple the nations, the earth and its people become more corrupt, engrossed in darkness and full of wickedness in life. That is why the Bible says in Psalm 74:20, “…for the dark places of the earth are full of the haunts of cruelty.” Therefore through discipleship, the earth is purged and sanitized from darkness, corruption and haunts of cruelty in life. In fact, man is born into Adamic nature; which is the nature of man full of darkness, cruelty and wickedness in life. Through the process of soul winning and evangelism, the souls of men are indeed snatched from the kingdom of darkness into the marvelous light of God’s kingdom forever.

The gospel of Jesus Christ has the potency to liberate man from darkness, transform and regenerate him into a new life. This can only take place through discipleship by the power of the Holy Spirit in life. That is the reason why the Bible says in Romans 1:16, “For I am not ashamed of the gospel of Christ, for it is power of God to salvation for everyone who believes, for the Jew first and also for the Greek.” In fact, through the preaching of the gospel of Jesus Christ, souls are won and saved from the kingdom of darkness into the marvelous light of God’s kingdom in life. It is an act of total foolishness for a Christian to be ashamed to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost and dying world of sin and condemnation in life forever.

Daily Tip: Every Christian had been commissioned to disciple his nation for Christ Jesus in life forever. Shalom!

Golden Text: How beautiful upon the mountain are the feet of him who brings good news, who proclaims peace, who brings glad tidings of good things, who proclaims salvation, who says to Zion, “Your God reigns!” (Isaiah 52:7).
