DAY 27 MONDAY: APRIL 2020

MAKING MELODY TO GOD THROUGH SINGING!

And do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled by the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord (Ephesians 5:18-19).

It is the duty of every Christian to make melody to God through singing in life. God delights so much the praises from the lips of His children in life. The Bible says in the opening text that do not be drunk with wine, in which is dissipation; but be filled by the Spirit, speaking to one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing and making melody in your heart to the Lord. Singing and making melody to God is a great sacrifice every Christian is expected to offer to the Lord constantly in order to enjoy His presence daily in life. Of course, every Christian should endeavor to take note of the fact that making melody to God through singing is his divine duty in life. Hence, a Christian should endeavor to make constant melody to God by singing in life forever.

When you learn to make melody to God through singing, you are thanking Him for His wondrous deeds, appreciating Him for who He is and the marvelous things He had done in your life. That is why the Bible says in 1 Chronicles 16:9, “Sing to Him, sing psalms to Him; talk of all His wondrous works!” Therefore, by making melody to God through singing is an art of appreciation and testimony to His glorious Name in life. Furthermore, singing and making melody to God is appreciating the Lord for His marvelous and wondrous works in the life of a Christian. The more you make melody to God through singing, the more He does great and wondrous works in your life forever.

The art of making melody to God through singing is not just to thank and praise God; it also admonishes and edifies you and others in life. It is a great spiritual exercise to a Christian in life. That is the reason why the Bible says in Colossians 3:16, “Let the word of Christ dwell in you richly in all wisdom, teaching and admonishing one another in psalms and hymns and spiritual songs, singing with grace in your hearts to the Lord.” In fact, Christians are hereby admonished through singing and making melody to constantly encourage one another in the Lord in life. Whenever a Christian learns to sing and make melody to God through singing, he is indeed partaking in the grace of God in life forever.

Daily Tip: Every Christian is expected to give thanks and praises unto the Lord by making melody to His glorious Name through singing in life forever. Shalom!
