DAY 11 SATURDAY: APRIL 2020

EDIFY YOURSELF IN THE HOLY SPIRIT!

He who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church (1 Corinthians 14:4).

As a Christian, you are being admonished to edify yourself in the Holy Spirit in life. Except you constantly edify yourself in the Spirit, you can never produce the best result in life. When you continuously edify yourself in the Spirit, you become more productive and full of the Holy Ghost in life. The Bible says in the opening text that he who speaks in a tongue edifies himself, but he who prophesies edifies the church. Of course, every Christian should endeavor to take note of the fact that God indeed wants him to constantly edify himself in the Holy Spirit in life. The ability to speak in tongues quickens and empowers the spirit man to perform excellently in the realm of the spirit in life forever.

One of the best ways a Christian can build himself up in the Spirit is to pray in the Holy Ghost in life. Whenever you pray in the Holy Ghost, you empower your spirit man to dominate in the physical realm in life. That is why the Bible says in Jude 1:20, “But you, beloved, building yourselves up on your most holy faith, praying in the Holy Spirit.” Therefore, it is absolutely the duty of a Christian to constantly build himself up in the most holy faith by praying in the Holy Spirit in life always.  Every Christian should take note of the fact that by constant praying in tongues enhances his ability to build up himself in his most holy faith in the Lord. Therefore, a Christian is hereby admonished to constantly edify himself in the Holy Spirit in life forever.

The Holy Spirit is the third Person in the Trinity in life. He is the Helper and Teacher to the believers in life. He empowers and edifies the believers for greater exploits in the ministry in life. That is the reason why Jesus Christ promised the disciples in Acts 1:8 thus, “But you shall receive power when the Holy Spirit has come upon you; and you shall be witnesses to Me in Jerusalem, and in all Judea, and Samaria, and to the end of the earth.” In fact, whoever wants to receive the end-time power of the Holy Spirit should endeavor to constantly pray in tongues in life always. Whenever a Christian prays in the Holy Spirit, he receives divine power to operate and function in the supernatural realm of God in life forever.

Daily Tip: A Christian is being empowered and edified by the Holy Spirit for greater exploits in life and ministry forever. Shalom!

Golden Text: He who believes in Me, as the Scripture has said, out of his heart will flow rivers of living water (John 7:38).
