DAY 6 MONDAY: APRIL 2020

BE DETERMINED IN YOUR VISION OF LIFE!

Then he said to me, “Do not fear, Daniel, for from the first day that you set your heart to understand, and to humble yourself before your God, your words were heard; and I have come because of your words” (Daniel 10:12).

Every Christian should be determined in his vision of life. A winner does not quit and quitter does not win in life. If you must win, you must be determined and dogged in your vision of life. In the opening text, the Bible tells us that the angel told Daniel, he should not fear, for from the first day that he set his heart to understand, and to humble himself before God, his words were heard; and I have come because of your words. Of course, every Christian should endeavor to take note of the fact that God indeed wants him to be determined in his vision of life. Therefore, every Christian should desire to be determined in his vision of life and never should he give up no matter the circumstances of life forever.

Daniel decided to seek the face of God concerning his vision of life. The Bible says that he humbled himself before God and presented his requests thus, “Then I set my face toward the Lord God to make request by prayer and supplications, with fasting, sackcloth and ashes” (Daniel 9:3). Therefore, whenever a believer makes his requests by prayer and supplications, with fasting, sackcloth and ashes, he will definitely receive an answer from God in life. As a Christian, be determined in your vision of life by constantly seeking the face of God in prayers, supplications and fasting. Whenever a Christian learns to seek the Lord whole-heartedly with all of his heart, hence, he will definitely see God in action forever.

The Scriptures made it clear that the very first day that Daniel decided to seek the face of God in his vision of life, God granted his requests but the prince of the kingdom of Persia delayed the answer to his requests for twenty-one days (Daniel 10:13). Thank God that Daniel did not give up but intensified his prayer with fasting. A Christian should learn to be determined in his vision of life just as Daniel did in his time. Those who indeed win in life challenges are those who are determined in their visions of life and they never give up no matter the situations of life. In fact, every Christian is hereby admonished to be determined in his vision of life forever.

Daily Tip: Anyone who wants to be fulfilled in His vision of life should learn to be determined through prayers, supplications and fasting in life forever. Shalom!

Golden Text: Rejoicing in hope, patient in tribulation, continuing steadfastly in prayer (Romans 12:12).
