DAY 16 MONDAY: MARCH 2020

LEARN TO UNDERSTAND GOD’S SPEECH IN LIFE!

Why do you not understand My speech? Because you are not able to listen to My word (John 8:43).

Every Christian should learn to understand God’s speech in life. When you fail to understand God’s Word, you will not understand His speech rather in life. Understanding God’s Word gives you a better understanding of His speech in life. Jesus Christ asked a pertinent question in the opening text, “Why do you not understand My speech?” He went further to buttress His point by saying that you are not able to listen to My Word. Of course, every Christian should endeavor to take note of the fact that God indeed wants him to understand His speech in life forever.

The ability to understand God’s Word gives you a better understanding to His speech in life. The ability to understand His speech boosts up your faith in the Lord in life. That is why the Bible tells us in Romans 10:17, “So then faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God.” Therefore, whenever a Christian is adapted to God’s Word by faith, he gets a better understanding to His speech in life. When you constantly hear the Word of God by faith and understand it, you get yourself acquainted with God’s speech in life forever.

Understanding God’s speech gives you the privilege to understanding the secrets of God’s wisdom and knowledge in life. That was the reason why many a time, the people failed to understand Jesus Christ whenever He speaks in parable. That is the reason why the Bible says in Matthew 13:13, “Therefore I speak to them in parables, because seeing they do not see, and hearing they do not hear, nor do they understand.” In fact, whoever fails to understand God’s Word by faith can never understand His speech rather in life forever.

Daily Tip: God expects you to grow fully matured as a Christian to understanding His speech in life forever. Shalom!

Golden Text: For this reason we also, since the day we heard it, do not cease to pray for you, and to ask that you may be filled with the knowledge of His will in all wisdom and spiritual understanding (Colossians 1:9).
