LEARN TO APPRECIATE SOMEONE’S SUCCESS IN LIFE!
With all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love (Ephesians 4:2).
There are some persons who are so full of themselves and they will never appreciate someone’s success in life. Such spirit is not from God but from the devil who is the author and father of pride in life. The Bible says in the opening text that with all lowliness and gentleness, with longsuffering, bearing with one another in love. Of course, every Christian should endeavor to take note of the fact that God indeed wants him to always learn to appreciate someone’s success in life. God wants us as Christians to bear with one another in love. Appreciating someone’s success does not mean that you are failing but rather demonstrating maturity in life forever.
When a Christian learns to appreciate other people’s success and esteem them better than himself, he is putting on the Spirit and garment of Jesus Christ in life. That is why the Bible says in Philippians 2:3, “Let nothing be done through selfish ambition or conceit, but in lowliness of mind let each esteem others better than himself.” Therefore, the spirit of a Christian should be the spirit of humility in lowliness of mind with Christ Jesus in life. It takes spiritual maturity and humility for a Christian to appreciate someone’s success and esteem them better than himself in life forever.
However without the spirit of humility, one cannot appreciate the success of another in life. This is why arrogant people do not excel in life. That is the reason why the Bible says in 1 Peter 5:5, “Likewise you younger people, submit yourselves to your elders. Yes, all of you be submissive to one another, and be clothed with humility, for ‘God resists the proud, but gives grace to the humble.” In fact, every Christian is expected to put on the garment of humility and humbly submits himself to God in life. He should also learn to appreciate someone’s success in life forever.
Daily Tip: Every Christian should put on the garment of humility and learn to appreciate other people’s success in life forever. Shalom!
Golden Text: When he humbled himself, the wrath of the Lord turned from him, so as not to destroy him completely; and things also went well in Judah (2 Chronicles 12:12).
