BE IDENTIFIED WITH GOD BY FAITH!
By faith Moses, when he became of age, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin (Hebrews 11:24-25).
It is a great joy and privilege for one to identify himself with God by faith in life. Wherever one is, and whatever assignment you have been given, learn to identify yourself with the Lord by faith in life. The Bible tells us in the opening text that by faith Moses, when he became of age, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin. Of course, every Christian should endeavor to take note of the fact that he is expected to identify himself with God and His people by faith in life forever.
The Bible gave us the story of Rahab who happened to be a great harlot in life. But by faith, she identified herself with God by saving the lives of the two Hebrew’s spies in life. That is why the Bible tells us in Hebrews 11:31, “By faith the harlot Rahab did not perish with those who did not believe, when she had received the spies with peace.” Therefore, she refused to perish with her country men simply because she identified herself with God and His people in life. In fact, because of this singular act, she saved herself and her entire family from doom and destruction in life forever.
As Christians, we should learn always to identify ourselves with the Lord by faith in life. God wants to identify Himself with us always; therefore, we should be ready to walk with Him by faith in life. That is the reason why the Bible says in Hebrews 11:6, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” In fact, it takes absolute faith and total obedience for one to seek God and walk with him in life forever.
Daily Tip: Every Christian should learn to identify himself with God and His people by faith in life forever. Shalom!
Golden Text: Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your labor is not in vain in the Lord (1 Corinthians 15:58).
