MEDITATE DAILY IN GOD’S WORD IN LIFE!
Blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night (Psalm1:1-2).
Every Christian is expected to meditate daily in God’s Word in order to experience His leading and guidance in life. The Bible says in the opening text that blessed is the man who walks not in the counsel of the ungodly, nor stands in the path of sinners, nor sits in the seat of the scornful; but his delight is in the law of the Lord, and in His law he meditates day and night. Of course, every Christian should endeavor to take note of the fact that he is expected to meditate daily in God’s Word in life. When a Christian learns to meditate daily in God’s Word, he experiences His leading and guidance in life forever.
When Moses commissioned Joshua to succeed him in leading the children of Israel to the Promised Land, God commanded him thus in life, “This Book of the Law shall not depart from your mouth, but you shall meditate in it day and night, that you may observe to do according to all that is written in it. For then you will make your way prosperous, and then you will have good success” (Joshua 1:8). Therefore, whoever wants to prosper and experience good success in life must endeavor to constantly meditate in God’s Word daily. Meditating in God’s Word brings prosperity in all ramifications in life forever.
That is why the Psalmist went further in the next verse of our opening text and declares thus in life, “He shall be like a tree planted by the rivers of water, that brings forth its fruit in its season, whose leaf also shall not wither; and whatever he does shall prosper (Psalm 1:3). In fact, through daily meditation in God’s Word a Christian’s life becomes firmly established in the Living Water of life. When a believer constantly meditate in God’s Word daily, his life becomes flourishing in the Water of Life and he experiences prosperity in everything he does in life forever.
Daily Tip: There is power in meditation especially when a Christian meditates in God’s Word daily and forever. Shalom!
Golden Text: For the word of God is living and powerful, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, and of joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart (Hebrews 4:12).
