THE NATURE OF A CHRISTIAN IS LOVE!
A new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another (John 13:34).
Every Christian should take note of the fact that he has a nature, and that nature is centered on love in life. A Christian was redeemed and saved by love, and he is expected to live in love in order to win souls into the kingdom of God in life. Without the nature of love as a Christian, soul-winning becomes impossible in life. The Bible says in the opening text that a new commandment I give to you, that you love one another; as I have loved you, that you also love one another. Of course, every Christian should endeavor to take note of the fact that the nature of a Christian is agape in life forever.
It is the nature of love in the life of a Christian that empowers him to fulfill the Law of Moses because love is the fulfillment of the law in life. That is why the Bible says in Romans 13:10, “Love does no harm to a neighbor; therefore love is the fulfillment of the law.” Therefore, it is indeed the agape love of God that fulfills the Law of Moses in the life of a Christian. When a Christian fails to live in love, he becomes subject to the Law of Moses. It is only the nature of love that can set a Christian free from the bondage of the Law of Moses. Indeed, agape love is the greatest of all in the life of a Christian forever.
Agape love is a gift that no one deserves, but God in His infinite mercy and grace has decided to pour it into our hearts in life. That is the reason why the Bible says in Romans 5:5, “Now hope does not disappoint, because the love of God has been poured out in our hearts by the Holy Spirit who was given to us.” In fact, the agape love of God was of course given freely to all Christians by divine grace in life. This is the reason why love is a Christian’s nature because God had poured it into his heart by the Holy Spirit in life. A Christian has the nature of God’s love in his life forever.
Daily Tip: Every Christian has the nature of love in him; therefore, he should display it for the world to see by winning souls into God’s kingdom in life forever. Shalom!
Golden Text: Owe no one anything except to love one another, for he who loves another has fulfilled the law (Romans 13:8).
