THE POWER OF LOVE IN LIFE!
But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8).
Today happens to be the Valentine’s Day; a day set aside to celebrate love all over the world. The power of love can never be over emphasized because it is of God in life. Without love, Christianity is of no value to mankind. The Bible says in the opening text that God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were still sinners, Christ died for us. Of course, every Christian should endeavor to take note of the fact that God indeed saved the whole world through the power of His love in life. It is the power of God’s love that saved mankind from His wrath and eternal damnation in life forever.
It is love that makes a Christian in life. Without the power of love, the services and sacrifices of a Christian become useless and unacceptable in life. That is why the Bible says in 1 Corinthians 13:3, “And though I bestow all my goods to feed the poor, and though I give my body to be burned, but have not loved, it profits me nothing.” It is the power of love that perfects one’s sacrifices and offerings to the Lord. Therefore, love is of course the greatest of all gifts and fruits of the Holy Spirit in life both here and hereafter. That is why the power of love is very efficacious in life forever.
It is impossible for one to separate love from God because it is from God and He Himself is love in life. That is the reason why the Bible says in 1 John 4:8, “He who does not love does not know God, for God is love.” In fact, love is of God and it reveals the character of the Almighty in the life of a Christian. Indeed, the power of love is the power of God in action. It is the power of God’s love that saved mankind; therefore, live and express the power of God’s love to your neighbors in life forever. Happy Valentine’s Day Celebration!
