DAY 13 THURSDAY: FEBRUARY 2020

ANCHOR YOUR HOPE IN GOD’S FAITH!

Who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, “so shall your descendants be” (Romans 4:18).

A Christian is expected to anchor his hope in God’s faith because it is faith that sustains his hope in life. When your hope in life is not anchored in faith; therefore, your hope in life is dead. The Bible says in the opening text that who, contrary to hope, in hope believed, so that he became the father of many nations, according to what was spoken, “So shall your descendants be.” Of course, every Christian should endeavor to take note of the fact that God indeed expects him to anchor his hope in faith in the Lord. A Christian should anchor his hope in God’s faith in life forever.

Abraham was able to succeed and obtain his promise even when it was contrary against hope because he anchored his hope in God’s faith in life. When you learn to anchor your hope in God’s faith, such hope can never die no matter the challenges of life. That is why the Bible defines faith in Hebrews 11:1, “Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen.” Therefore, it is absolute faith in God that actually anchors and sustains one’s hope in life forever.

Anyone who wants to succeed in life just like Abraham should learn to anchor his hope in God’s faith in life. Except a Christian learns to anchor and sustain his hope in God’s faith; he can never please Him in life. That is the reason why the Bible says in Hebrews 11:6, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” In fact, hope that is devoid of God’s faith is actually dead, baseless and profitless in life. Therefore, learn to anchor your hope in God’s faith in life forever.

Daily Tip: Every Christian is expected to anchor his hope in God’s faith in order to succeed and be victorious in life forever. Shalom!

Golden Text: He did not waver at the promise of God through unbelief, but was strengthened in faith, giving glory to God (Romans 4:20).
