DAY 3 MONDAY: FEBRUARY 2020

HAVE A VERY STRONG HEART DESIRE!

When she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well (Mark 5:27-28).

Everyone who desires breakthroughs in life should have a very strong heart desire. Until one has a very strong heart desire, he may never come out of the status quo in life. The Bible says in the opening text that when she heard about Jesus, she came behind Him in the crowd and touched His garment. For she said, “If only I may touch His clothes, I shall be made well”. The woman was tired of her predicament, and so she had a very strong heart desire to receive her healing. Of course, every Christian should endeavor to take note of the fact that God indeed wants him to have a very strong heart desire towards Him in life forever.

When a Christian has a very strong heart desire towards God concerning a particular issue that defies all odds, definitely God will surely intervene in his life. We saw this in the life of Jacob when he had a very strong heart desire and wrestled with God’s angel, and he prevailed thus, “And He said, ‘Your name shall no longer be called Jacob, but Israel; for you have struggled with God and with men, and have prevailed”(Genesis 32:28). Therefore, it is indeed a very strong heart desire towards God and His Word of life that actually brings breakthroughs and deliverance in life forever.

The Bible gave us a case study concerning a woman, Hannah who had a very strong heart desire before the Lord. That is the reason why the Bible says in 1 Samuel 1:15, “But Hannah answered and said, ‘No, my lord, I am a woman of sorrowful spirit. I have drunk neither wine nor intoxicating drink, but have poured out my soul before the Lord.” In fact, it was a very strong and unwavering heart desire of Hannah that actually brought her breakthroughs in life. Until Hannah decided to take the bull by the horn with a very strong heart desire, she would have remained in the status quo in life forever.

Daily Tip: Until a Christian decided to take the bull by the horn with a very strong heart desire before the Lord, he would continue to remain in the status quo all the days of his life forever. Shalom!

Golden Text: And from the days of John the Baptist until now the kingdom of heaven suffers violence, and the violent take it by force (Matthew 11:12).
