JESUS CHRIST IS YOUR SANCTIFIER!
But of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God-and righteousness and sanctification and redemption (1 Corinthians 1:30).
The word, “Sanctification” simply means to purify, to cleanse and to set apart for divine purpose. Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior has purified, cleansed and set us apart for God’s divine purpose in life. The Bible says in the opening text that but of Him you are in Christ Jesus, who became for us wisdom from God-and righteousness and sanctification and redemption. Of course, every Christian should endeavor to take note of the fact that Jesus Christ is his sanctifier in life forever.
Jesus Christ sanctified every Christian by His Word of life. It is the Word of God that purifies and cleanses us from every form of impurities and evil. The more a Christian soaks himself in God’s Word, the more he is being sanctified and set apart for God’s divine purpose in life. That is why Jesus Christ said in John 15:3 thus, “You are already clean because of the Word which I have spoken to you.” Therefore, by the Word of God a Christian is sanctified for noble and divine use in life. The Word of God is the catalyst for one’s sanctification in life forever.
One of the major reasons why a Christian needs to be sanctified is to be preserved as a blameless and spotless bride for the second coming of Jesus Christ. That is the reason why the Bible says in 1 Thessalonians 5:23, “Now may the God of peace Himself sanctify you completely; and may your whole spirit, soul and body be preserved blameless at the coming of our Lord Jesus Christ.” In fact, sanctification brings about preservation to the body, soul and spirit in a Christian’s life. God’s Word has the potency to sanctify the body, soul and spirit of a man in life forever.
Daily Tip: The Word of God has the potency to sanctify the body, soul and spirit of a man, and preserve him blameless and spotless bride for the second coming of Jesus Christ in life forever. Shalom!
Golden Text: For it is sanctified by the word of God and prayer (1 Timothy 4:5).
