DAY 20 WEDNESDAY: NOVEMBER 2019

GROWTH IS A PRINCIPLE!

The Word of God spread, and the number of the disciples multiplied greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priest were obedient to the faith (Acts 6:7).

God expects every Christian to grow and be fruitful. Growth is not a mystery or a miracle. There are principles to follow in order to experience growth. These principles when followed work for believers and non-believers alike. Some of the principles are wisdom, knowledge, diligence and adequate planning. No matter how spiritual you are, if you do not have wisdom and knowledge, being diligent and plan properly; you may not experience growth and success in life. Of course, every Christian should endeavor to take note of the fact that growth is a principle with its own formula for success in life forever.

In the opening text, the early disciples grew rapidly because they have wisdom and knowledge, couple with diligence and adequate planning. The same principles can as well work for the unbelievers. It is unfortunate that many Christians today who are supposed to be full of wisdom and knowledge; are doing things blindly and foolishly, being lazy and without adequate planning in life. That is why Jesus Christ said in Luke 16:8 thus, “For the sons of this world are more shrewd in their generation than the sons of light.” Therefore, whoever applies the principles of growth and follows its own formulae must surely experience growth in life forever.

The Bible further tells us in 2 Thessalonians 3:10 thus, “For even when we were with you, we commanded you thus: if anyone will not work, neither shall he eat.” In fact, whenever a Christian violates the principles of growth and its own formulae for success, he will definitely remain a pauper for life. This is because growth is never a magic or miracle in life but a principle and formula to be followed doggedly. God hates laziness and idleness. But unfortunately, some Christians are just being idle and lazy in life. God expects us as children of the light, to be full of wisdom and knowledge, being diligent and plan properly. A Christian is a pace setter; he should never be lazy and idle in life, but he should be full of wisdom and knowledge of God, and learn to plan things adequately. The Lord will surely grant you success and victory as you apply the principles of growth and follow its own formulae in life. May the joy of the Lord be your strength forever in Jesus Christ Name! Amen (Nehemiah 8:10).

Daily tip: There are principles and formulae that lead to growth and success; do not be ignorant of them but be full of wisdom and knowledge forever. Shalom!

Golden Text: If the ax is dull, and one does not sharpen the edge, then he must use more strength; but wisdom brings success (Ecclesiastes 10:10).
