CULTIVATE THE HABIT OF GIVING CHEERFULLY!
So let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver (2 Corinthians 9:7).
Giving is a gift of the Holy Spirit which every Christian is expected to cultivate as a habit. A Christian is not supposed to be selfish but cultivating the habit of giving cheerfully. When you want to experience growth in every area of life, then cultivate the habit of giving cheerfully. The Bible says in the opening text that let each one give as he purposes in his heart, not grudgingly or of necessity; for God loves a cheerful giver. Of course, every Christian should endeavor to take note of the fact that God wants him to cultivate the habit of giving cheerfully devoid of grudges in life forever.
Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savor taught and gave us an example of giving. That is why He said thus, “Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over will be put into your bosom. For with the same measure that you use, it will be measured back to you” (Luke 6:38). Therefore, the same measure that a Christian uses in giving is the same measure that God multiplies in return for him in life. When a Christian learns to give cheerfully, he receives back more than a hundredfold from God in life forever.
That is the reason why the Bible tells us that it is more blessed to give than to receive as stated in Acts 20:35 thus, “I have shown you in every way, by laboring like this, that you might support the weak. And remember the words of the Lord Jesus, that He said, ‘It is more blessed to give than to receive.” In fact, whenever a Christian learns to give cheerfully in life, he receives multiple blessings from God eternally. Until you cultivate the habit of giving cheerfully, you can never experience the awesomeness of God in your life forever.
Daily Tip: Every Christian should cultivate the habit of giving cheerfully in order to experience the awesomeness of God in his life and ministry forever. Shalom!
Golden Text: But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully (2 Corinthians 9:6).
