And you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, he has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses (Colossians 2:13).

Until you are set free, you can never fellowship with God. Fellowshipping with God entails absolute freedom with Him. When you have constant fellowship with God, your spirit will be totally liberated and set free from bondage. In the opening text, the Bible tells us that you, being dead in your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, he has made alive together with Him, having forgiven you all trespasses. Of course, every Christian should endeavor to take note of the fact that until he is set free from total bondage, he can never have the liberty to fellowship with God in Christ Jesus forever.

In fact, before you can be totally set free to fellowship with God, your sins need to be forgiven and cleansed by the precious blood of Jesus Christ. That is why the Bible says in Ephesians 1:7, “In Him we have redemption through His blood, the forgiveness of sins, according to the riches of His grace.” Therefore until one’s sins are forgiven, he can never be opportune to enjoy the riches of God’s grace in his life. The confession and forgiveness of sins are highly necessary before one can have fellowship with God forever.

Again, when one is totally set free by fellowshipping with God, he is bound to experience His peace through Christ Jesus. That is the reason why the Bible says in Romans 5:1, “Therefore, having been justified by faith, we have peace with God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” It is indeed the justification by faith in Christ Jesus that gives one access to God’s divine peace. The peace of God which surpasses all human understanding is graciously received by faith through constant fellowshipping with God.

Daily Tip: Until one is set free, he cannot have fellowship with God by faith and also have access to His peace forever. Shalom!

Golden Text: And you, who once were alienated and enemies in your mind by wicked works, yet now He has reconciled (Colossians 1:21).
