DAY 26 TUESDAY: FEBRUARY 2019

BE DETERMINED AND NEVER BE LAZY!

The lazy man will not plow because of winter; he will beg during harvest and have nothing (Proverbs 20:4).

A Christian should be determined and he must never be lazy. Laziness can put one into bondage and poverty in life. A lazy fellow will beg during harvest and have nothing in life. If you must experience great harvest, you should be determined and give no room for procrastination. In the opening text, the Bible tells us that the lazy man will not plow because of winter; he will beg during harvest and have nothing. A lazy man is someone who always procrastinates by giving excuses without achieving something tangible in life.

As a Christian, we should take note of the fact that there is a law governing sowing. This law has a principle that can never be manipulated by magic. That is why the Bible says in Galatians 5:7, “…for whatever a man sows, that he will also reap.” You can never sow mangoes and reap coco yams. When you fail to sow, you should never expect a harvest because it is not possible. Anyone who fails to sow in life during winter or raining season will definitely beg during reaping or harvest. Be determined and never be lazy!

God expects you to sow bountifully so that you will also reap bountifully. Anyone who fails to sow bountifully should not expect a great harvest because his harvest determines the measure of his sowing. That is the reason why the Bible says in 2 Corinthians 9:6, “But this I say: He who sows sparingly will also reap sparingly, and he who sows bountifully will also reap bountifully.” Of course, when someone fails to sow and expects reaping or harvesting, such a person could be referred to as a thief and deviant according to God’s Word.  Whatever a man sows, he will also reap in life.

Daily Tip: As a Christian, you should be determined and never be lazy in life. He should avoid every form of procrastination and learn to sow bountifully to also reap bountifully in life. Shalom!

Golden Text: He who observes the wind will not sow, and he who regards the clouds will not reap (Ecclesiastes 11:4).
