Then behold, they brought to Him a paralytic lying on a bed. When Jesus saw their faith, He said to the paralytic, “Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you.” And at once some of the scribes said within themselves, “This man blasphemes!” (Mathew 9:2-3).

As a Christian, learn to always declare the authority of God in you. You should never be silent no matter the threats from the enemies. In the opening text, a paralytic was brought to Jesus Christ. But when Jesus Christ saw their faith, He said to the paralytic thus, “Son, be of good cheer; your sins are forgiven you.” Although, the scribes accused Jesus Christ of blaspheming but He went further to confirm His Word by healing the man. Every Christian should be bold enough to always declare his authority in Jesus Christ.

A Christian should be bold and courageous to declare God’s authority in his life. He should never be intimidated no matter what people say against him. That is why the Bible says in Romans 8:31, “What then shall we say to these things? If God is for us, who can be against us.” No matter what people accuse you of, do not chicken out but go ahead and declare God’s authority in your life because He is with you. Take note of the fact that the authority of a Christian is in the Name of Jesus Christ.

Your life as a Christian should witness for Jesus Christ and bring people into the knowledge and truth of God’s Word. You should endeavor to declare the authority of God in your life through God’s wonders and miracles. That is the reason why the Bible says in 2 Timothy 1:7, “For God has not given us a spirit of fear, but of power and of love and of a sound mind.” There is of course a greater power in you in Christ Jesus (1John 4:4). Be bold enough as a Christian to always declare your authority in the Lord.

Daily Tip: The authority of God is in you in Christ Jesus; therefore, always declare it to the glory of God. Shalom!

Golden Text: Behold, I have given you authority to trample on serpents and scorpions, and over all the power of the enemy, and nothing shall by any means hurt you (Luke 10:19).
