The Word of God spread, and the number of the disciples multiplied greatly in Jerusalem, and a great many of the priests were obedient to the faith (Acts 6:7).

God expects every Christian to grow and be fruitful. Growth is not a mystery or a miracle. There are principles to follow in order to experience growth. These principles when followed accordingly work for believers and non-believers alike. Some of the principles are wisdom, knowledge, diligence and adequate planning. No matter how spiritual you may be, if you do not have wisdom, knowledge, diligence and proper planning; you may not experience growth and success in life.

In the opening text, the Bible tells us that the early disciples grew rapidly because they have wisdom and knowledge, couple with diligence and adequate planning. The same principles can as well work for the unbelievers when properly followed. It is unfortunate that so many Christians today who are supposed to be full of wisdom and knowledge; are doing things blindly and foolishly, being lazy and without adequate planning. No wonder Jesus Christ said in Luke 16:8, “For the sons of this world are more shrewd in their generation than the sons of light.”

The Bible further tells us in 2 Thessalonians 3:10, “For even when we were with you, we commanded you thus: if anyone will not work, neither shall he eat.” God hates laziness and idleness of any kind. But unfortunately, so many Christians are just being lazy and idle. God expects us as children of light, to be full of wisdom, knowledge, diligence and plan properly. A Christian is a pace setter. He should avoid being lazy and idle, but be full of wisdom and knowledge of God by being diligent and planned adequately. The Lord will surely grant you success and victory as you apply thoroughly the principles of growth. The joy of the Lord is your strength (Nehemiah 8:10).

Daily Tip: There are principles that lead to growth and success; do not be ignorant of them but be full of wisdom, knowledge, diligence and adequate planning. Shalom!

Golden Text: If the ax is dull, and one does not sharpen the edge, then he must use more strength; but wisdom brings success (Ecclesiastes 10:10).
