How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? (Romans 10:14).

Every Christian had been called to preach the good news of Jesus Christ. In the opening text, the Bible tells us that the people of the world cannot call Him whom they have not believed; they cannot believe Him whom they have never heard; and they cannot hear Him without a preacher. It is our duty as Christians to share the good news of Jesus Christ to the lost world that are perishing in sin. It is something we must do with urgency, passion and zeal. It is not met for the evangelists, pastors, apostles, bishops and arch-bishops only; it is also met for all Christians irrespective of denominations and faith.

In Matthew 28:19-20, Jesus Christ commanded all His followers thus, “Go therefore and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the Name of the Father, and of the Son, and of the Holy Spirit, teaching them to observe all things that I have commanded you; and lo, I am with you always, even to the end of the age.” Here, Jesus Christ was referring to all His followers and disciples to preach the good news of salvation. This is the mandate of the church and to every Christian. We as Christians are expected to preach the good news of Jesus Christ to every nation of the world.

Moreover in Acts 26:18 the Bible says, “To open their eyes, in order to turn them from darkness to light, and from the power of Satan to God, that they may receive forgiveness of sins and an inheritance among those who are sanctified by faith in Me.” In this passage, the Word of God made it clear the reason why every Christian should preach the good news of Jesus Christ. The gospel has the potency to open the eyes of the blind, turn them away from darkness to light, from Satan to God, to receive forgiveness of sins and their inheritance in Christ Jesus. Therefore, every Christian is expected to preach the good news of Jesus Christ in wherever he finds himself.

Daily Tip: Preaching the good news of Jesus Christ is a must for every Christian; it has no alternative. Shalom!
