Let each of you look out not only for his own interests, but also for the interests of others (Philippians 2:4).

We are children of God through the seed of Abraham. The blessings of God are ours through Jesus Christ our Lord. No wonder the Bible says in1 Corinthians 3:21, “…for all things are yours.” God has given us everything needed that will enable us become blessings to others. That was part of the covenant of God to Abraham. God told Abraham, “I will make you a great nation; I will bless you and make your name great; and you shall be a blessing” (Genesis 12:2). As a Christian, the covenant blessing of Abraham is yours in Christ Jesus. Every Christian is called upon to partake of the Abrahamic covenant of blessings.

Of course, no matter your background and past experiences, God is interested in blessing you abundantly beyond your imaginations. As a Christian, you are a channel of God’s blessings to others. That is the more reason why you need to be interested of others well-being and progress in life. That is why the Bible tells us in Ephesians 2:10 thus, “For we are His workmanship, created in Christ Jesus for good works, which God prepared beforehand that we should work in them.” God created and prepared us as channels of blessings to the world, therefore, Christians should be interested in others’ well-being and development in life.

Moreover, God wants to bless the lives of people in the world; but we are the vessels that He wants to use. God has given you the potentials, abilities, grace and wisdom in order for you to become a blessing to others. Therefore, a Christian must not look out only for his own interests, but he must as well be concerned about the well-being of others in the society. God created man in His own image and likeness, blessed and commanded him to be fruitful and multiply (Genesis 1:27-28). A Christian is a blessing to His generation; therefore, be interested of others well-being and progress in life.

Daily Tip: A Christian is Christ’s channel of blessings to the world. Therefore, be interested of others’ well-being and progress in life. Shalom!

Golden Text: He who has pity on the poor lends to the Lord, and He will pay back what he has given (Proverbs 19:17).
