BE IDENTIFIED WITH GOD BY FAITH!
By faith Moses, when he became of age, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin (Hebrews 11:24-25).
It is a great joy and privilege for one to identify himself with God by faith. Wherever one is, and whatever assignment you have been given, learn to identify yourself with the Lord by faith. The Bible tells us in the opening text that by faith Moses, when he became of age, refused to be called the son of Pharaoh’s daughter, choosing rather to suffer affliction with the people of God than to enjoy the passing pleasures of sin. It is absolutely better for a Christian to identify himself with God and His people than enjoying the passing pleasures of sin.
The Bible gave us the story of Rahab who happened to be a great harlot. But by faith, she identified herself with God by saving the lives of the two Hebrew’s spies sent by Joshua. That is why the Bible tells us in Hebrews 11:31, “By faith the harlot Rahab did not perish with those who did not believe, when she had received the spies with peace.” In fact because of this singular act, she saved herself and her entire family from doom and destruction. Every Christian should learn to always identify himself with God and His people.
As Christians, we should learn always to identify ourselves with the Lord by faith. God wants to identify Himself with us always; therefore, we should be ready to walk with Him by faith. That is the reason why the Bible says in Hebrews 11:6, “But without faith it is impossible to please Him, for he who comes to God must believe that He is, and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.” It is the duty of all Christians to identify themselves with God and His people by walking in faith daily.
Daily Tip: Every Christian should learn to identify himself with God and His people by walking in faith daily. Shalom!
