DAY 15 FRIDAY: JANUARY 2021

3 min read

THE LORD IS MY SALVATION IN LIFE!

The Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? (Psalm 27:1).

King David who was the writer of this Psalm lived with the consciousness that God was his salvation in life. With this consciousness, he became very bold and courageous in life. That was the reason he never lost any battle in his life and he even killed Goliath, the giant with this consciousness in life. The Bible says in the opening text that the Lord is my light and my salvation; whom shall I fear? The Lord is the strength of my life; of whom shall I be afraid? Of course, every Christian should endeavor to take note of the fact that the Lord Almighty is his salvation in life. Hence, the life that leads to salvation is absolutely a life that is firmly established in Jesus Christ who is the Savior of life forever.

Every Christian is expected to live with this consciousness daily in order to overcome life’s challenges and be victorious. God is more than able to see you through no matter the obstacles you are facing in life. That is why the Bible says in Proverbs 18:10, “The name of the Lord is a strong tower; the righteous run to it and are safe.” Therefore, whoever runs to take shelter in the Name of the Lord will definitely experience the salvation of God in his life. When a Christian takes the Name of the Lord as his tower, he becomes bold and courageous in life. A life that is courageous and bold in the Lord is absolutely a life that is firmly secured in the salvation of God Almighty in life forever.

God is more than able to save anyone who puts his trust upon Him because He is Omnipotent; hence, the Al-powerful in life. That is the reason why the Bible says in Romans 10:13, “For ‘whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved.” In fact, the Name of the Lord is a strong tower that brings God’s salvation upon anyone who trusts in it in life. Everyone should take note of the fact that there is absolutely nothing that is beyond the reach of God in life. That is the reason why Jesus Christ declared thus, “…but with God all things are possible” (Matthew 19:26). Therefore, a life that is firmly established in God’s salvation is absolutely a life that obtains impossibilities with God Almighty in life forever.

Daily Tip: It is reasonable for a Christian to always live with the consciousness that God is his salvation because it will boost his courage to overcome challenges and obstacles in life forever. Shalom!

Golden Text: Behold, I am the Lord, the God of all flesh. Is there anything too hard for Me? (Jeremiah 32:27).
