Praying without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17).

As a Christian, God wants you to pray ceaselessly. Praying ceaselessly simply means praying without season. Prayer was the live wire and blood of Jesus Christ. He started His life and ministry with prayers; He continued it in prayers; He died in prayers; He resurrected in prayers; and He is still interceding for us today in prayers. The Bible says in the opening text that we should pray without ceasing. Of course, every Christian should endeavor to take note of the fact that prayer is his lifeline and live wire of the ministry. A Christian should keep praying ceaselessly forever.

Jesus Christ was a perfect role model to us in prayers. He demonstrated through His life and ministry the efficacy and powers of prayers. That is why He said in Luke 18:1, “Then He spoke a parable to them, that men always ought to pray and not lose heart.” Therefore, a Christian who fails to pray ceaselessly is directly or indirectly becoming a prey to life’s challenges and a victim to circumstances. A Christian is expected to pray ceaselessly because that is the only way he could overcome the challenges and obstacles of life. Hence, every Christian should learn to pray ceaselessly forever.

Praying ceaselessly as a Christian is not by power, nor by might but by God’s Spirit and grace (Zechariah 4:6). That is the reason why the Bible says in Romans 8:26, “Likewise the Spirit also helps in our weaknesses. For we do not know what we should pray for as we ought, but the Spirit Himself makes intercession for us with groanings which cannot be uttered.” In fact, whenever a Christian learns to humbly give room for the Holy Spirit to lead and intercede for him in prayers, he finds himself praying ceaselessly both day and night. Learn to take advantage of God’s Spirit in praying ceaselessly forever.

Daily Tip: Every Christian should take advantage of God’s Spirit and grace to keep praying ceaselessly forever. Shalom!
